Lets go for a ride on a time machine and transfer 30 years back. In 1990th yoga was not so popular and well-know as it became now. Very few people were interested in yoga and dedicated their lives to it. Eddie Stern from New York was among them. In his teens he decided to leave his high school and went to explore India. Since this country has a special place in his heart. India helped him to find his real inner wishes and made him believe in karma. There he met his yoga guru and learned Ashtanga Yoga. Today Eddie Stern is a celebrity Yoga teacher. Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow walked into his studio on Broome Street to take yoga classes. Apparently, Eddie Stern is a true yoga teacher who can teach you not only different yoga postures but explain yoga spirituality and its impact on the human health. It seems that he is a person, who knows about yoga everything and even more.

The word yoga has several meanings. Among them are "union", "concentration", "a path", and "relation". The word itself comes from the verbal root yuj, which means "to yoke or join" and is why the word yoga is most commonly associated with the idea of union.

Recently Eddie Stern wrote a book " One Simple Thing". That book is literally "must read" for all yogis and science enthusiasts. Eddie covers different topics in the book: what is yoga, ashtanga yoga from ancient sources, benefits of yoga postures, yoga and nervous system, awareness during asana practice, mind and body connection and the like. Tremendous knowledge and deep perception of true yoga, and scientific approach made that book a real treasure for physical and mental health seekers.

There is no doubt in my mind that this correlation between the vagus nerve and yoga is purposeful, as these four categories were all things the yogis did intentionally because they knew that this was how they could control their nervous system and learn to self-regulate in order to thin the cloudy veil of the kleshas that cover unbounded consciousness.

Eddie Stern discusses karma and spirituality and explains how yoga, breathing and meditation purifies the human body. He claims that there are three bodies and their five levels. Eddie rises the question " How can we move from the physical body to the deeper levels of our being?". The answer to that question leads us to a deep philosophical discussion regarding " Who Am I".

The law of karma says that any action we perform will be reciprocate at some point. If I do something nice to you, eventually you’ll do something nice back to me. But what happens if I do something nice to you, but then I die before you will reciprocate?
